IN-HOUSE UI DESIGNER

Renaltracker is looking for a product-focused full-stack designer to join our growing, Cagayan de Oro and Netherlands Team.

As a UI Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming product ideas to tweaking pixels until they are shipped. You will own and shape the product roadmap to ensure business goals align with customers needs. This includes soliciting user feedback pre and post build, updating marketing pages, and training internal personnel, and ensuring successful launch and adoption of new product and features.

In the process, you will be working with world-class experts on different domains: behavior change pioneers from Stanford Persuasive Tech Labs, former product owner of an Amsterdam-based unicorn startup.

Responsibilities:
  • Map a plan for new products and features based on company vision, business strategy, and objectives.
  • Develop and implement a repeatable design process beginning with ideation and prioritization all the way through build and launch.
  • Test new product ideas/features with customers to validate assumptions before dedicating resources to building something.
  • Design, prototype, and iterate on new features and refresh UI/UX of existing features.
  • Communicate design solutions through wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Translate wireframes into highly-polished visual composites with attention to interaction design while following style and brand guidelines.
  • Work independently and across multiple teams. Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges.
  • Work closely with the engineering manager to oversee execution and build of a new product/features; be "go to" person when specs/designs require clarification or change.
  • Develop launch strategies including designing email campaigns to announce new functionality; making sure the new product/feature is compatible with pricing plans; educating internal sales team internally about how to sell and talk about the new product/functionality; updating marketing/features pages to reflect new functionality/products; etc.
  • Follow up post-launch to measure product effectiveness and user experience, and to verify/validate the original hypothesis on which the new product/feature built.
  • Iterate and improve on product/features over time based on data from user feedback and lessons learned.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • You are authorized to work in the US.
  • Minimum of 6+ years as a UI/UX Designer or equivalent (understanding of user flows, wireframes, mockups, generating assets and specifications for integration into digital products) and examples of shipped products
  • Strong facilitation and project management skills with an ability to lead collaborative design sessions.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate your design vision and defend your design decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Sketch
  • We do not require coding proficiency, but you should at least possess a basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, jQuery, etc
  • An understanding of marketing techniques and aptitude is a plus
  • Strong ability to solicit user feedback, both directly with customers and indirectly through tracking customer usage and impact on sales through analytical tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Salesforce/Freshsales
  • A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Be autonomous. Take full ownership of your work (down to every detail) every step of the way.
